DId you become natural because you felt like it was the best healthy choice or because its popular and everyone’s doing it now?
How would you describe your style and what is your goal length?
I made the decision to go natural for both reasons equally.
My style is pretty broad and hard to explain. I dress according to how I’m feeling. If that makes sense. I love the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s era. I enjoy different cultures and nationalities and sometimes I take bits and pieces from them all to make my own style. I love high heels but I can not walk in them. I like to dress my natural up with flowers, ribbons, hats, scarves etc. My goal length is waist length. My hair has never past bra strap length so I’m excited to reach my goal with all of you.
1.The first pic is where I did the big chop on her while it was wet because I needed to see clearly where her new growth ended.
2.This pic shows where I cut and blow dried her hair.
I used a vinegar rinse on her hair then placed her under the hair steamer to bring life back into her hair and scalp.
3,4. The braided style I choose for hair. I also sleeked down her edges because she has temporary alopecia. With great care this type of alopecia will grow back soon.
Kim has been transitioning for 2 years so I chopped off her remaining relaxer, have her a steam treatment after shampooing and conditioning with herbal essence hydration. Then I styled her hair in a corn row Mohawk and comb coils for the bang area. Her hair had also broken off from pony tail styles on a regular basis. So my plan is to do her hair in protective styles every 2 weeks with steam treatments. Healthy hair rocks……. Check out the photos.
